So I had the classic rollercoaster of a wedding but it all worked out in the end.  My parents had death flu and couldn't make the wedding or the reception. Had my first manicure which ruined my nails and wasted my time and money...  *sigh*

My friends and family pulled together really amazingly at the reception and took over organizing it and making it work.  I ended up handing out pictures and family tree flyers most of the first hour or so.  It wasn't until we were cleaning up at the end that I sat down to eat.  Word of advice to future bride and grooms, eat before it starts.  I saved my whole day's calories for the feast and didn't eat hardly any of it...  *sadness*

I was truly touched by the love of all my friends, family, and new family.  It was really quite amazing.

Most people say that after you are married, (particularly if you've been living together for some time) that married life isn't different from the other half of life.  But here's the secret, while not much changes there are these moments when you think "he's my husband, not my boyfriend" and in those moments the emotions that bubble up and turn into a warmth and smile... these are the moments that follow.

I can't help but say, happiness is a wonderful state to be in and now having felt it truly, I don't think I ever really felt it before.
